Between 6-14 February the CPRE The countryside charity want you to help them map the nation’s view of the night sky by counting the number of stars you can see in the constellation of Orion. Will you be taking part?
This year will be a little different. They’ll be asking everyone to take part from home. You can take part from your garden, balcony, doorstep or even bedroom window! Dark and starry skies are a special part of our countryside. Nothing beats looking upwards to see velvety blackness, with twinkling constellations as far as the eye can see. But many of us can’t see the stars, especially if we live in or near a town or city. Taking part is simple. All you have to do is look to the night sky on a clear night, count the number of stars you can see within the Orion constellation, and submit your count on their website. Sign up on their website to take part https://www.cpre.org.uk/
